Ideal applicants have training in coding and programming fundamentals, software, web and application development. Those lacking a computing or information technology background may be admitted to the non-thesis program, with additional prerequisite courses added to their program of study. MS and PhD applicants should demonstrate a solid understanding of computing fundamentals and advanced mathematics. A Bachelor's degree (not necessarily in Computer Science) with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or its equivalent.
Minimum GRE scores:
For thesis-based programs: 300 (Quantitative + Verbal) and 3.0 (Analytical Writing)
For the non-thesis program: 295 (Quantitative + Verbal) and 2.5 (Analytical Writing)
Advanced mathematics courses, including calculus, fundamentals in programming and software development.
