We love students that are passionate about science! We look for academically strong students who have at least one major research experience.
Students with a traditional biomedical background would fit in well with the IGP program. Students with a background in chemistry, physics, math, or computer science but would like to explore a biomedical graduate program should explore the QCB program (https://medschool.vanderbilt.edu/qcb).
http://vanderbiltbiomedg.com/ We look for students have excelled in both their academic preparation as well as biomedical research. Perhaps most important among these two is previous research experience. Most of the students offered positions in our programs have had at least a year of previous research experience, and often have 2-3 years. I'd love to hear about your goals and your experience to discuss how you may fit into our applicant pool!
