What We Offer

Summary

Our program excels in research from molecular to behavioral analysis of brain function. With >50 mentors we offer a program to meet all interests. We hold a T32 training grant, and enrichment opportunities include journal club, seminar, an annual retreat, career development and social functions. Students present at national and international meetings, and publish in high impact journals. A collegial community provides a challenging and supportive environment in which to become a neuroscientist

Who We're Looking For

Summary

We welcome applicants from a wide variety of backgrounds, including Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Engineering, Neuroscience, Neurobiology, Psychology and others. Course background should include at least 1 year Biology + labs; at least 1 year basic Chemistry + labs and Organic; Statistics. Lab experience is essential. Applicants are required to have a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree and must have taken the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). GRE scores must be from tests taken within five years of applying for admission. While there is no official minimum requirement, successful applicants generally have a minimum combined score of 315.
