The Interdisciplinary Program in Biomedical Sciences (IDP) is committed to providing a broad and integrated education in biomedical science. This education is designed to serve the students well as they move on to pursue specialized research projects. During the first year, students take a core curriculum designed to provide a strong foundation in sciences while also exploring their individual research interests through laboratory rotations. The program is primarily supported by primary and secondary faculty of five basic science departments: 1) Biochemistry, 2) [Molecular] Biophysics, 3) Cell Biology, Neurobiology & Anatomy, 4) Microbiology & Immunology, and 5) Pharmacology & Toxicology.
