The School’s educational goals are to prepare students for entry into advanced social work practice through study of direct practice with individuals, families and groups; organizations and communities; and concentrated advanced study in a social work practice method and a particular field of practice or substantive area.

To be eligible for admission to the M.S. program, an applicant must have:
-A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university;
-60 credits in the liberal arts, of which at least nine must be in the social sciences;
-An academic record reflecting the ability to do graduate work at least at a B level;
-A serious commitment to the profession of social work and the capacity for professional self-awareness, often demonstrated by internships and life experiences. Application Checklist

-Compose three essays: Applicants are required to submit three essays in response to program specific questions.
-Acquire three letters of reference.
