What We Offer

Summary

We offer a 30 credit hour (10 course) degree program that can be completed in one calendar year. There are 12 credit hours of required core courses. The remaining 18 hours are quite flexible and include: thesis option, non-thesis option, and internship. We have a limited number of Graduate Assistantships for highly qualified applicants. All courses are taught by faculty holding a Ph.D.

Summary

The ideal student understands the fundamentals of economic theory with a strong instinct for economic intuition. Our typical student is eager to increase their understanding of economic theory through a rigorous study of theory and applied work. We are looking for students with strong critical thinking skills that are eager to combine their theoretical knowledge with the "real-world" skills in data analysis. Required: Principles of Economics
Recommended: Intermediate level Economics, Calculus, Statistics, This material can be taken online (Economic 509) prior to enrollment or as part of the program of study.
