Students looking for choice about their program of study. Students designate 2 of 6 areas of study (i.e. Ability Diversity, Strength & Conditioning, Sport Psychology, Exercise Physiology, Wellness & Fitness management, and Human Movement performance). Students come into the program looking for opportunities for practical application of disciplinary knowledge, meaningful engagement in & out of the classroom, and development of professional knowledge and skills to be competitive in job markets. Students for MS degree in Kinesiology are required to have satisfactorily completed undergraduate coursework in four of the five following areas (or the equivalent); anatomy & physiology, exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport & exercise psychology, and motor behavior. Students can take undergraduate courses they are deficient in while completing their graduate coursework. Students may appeal this requirement if their level of competence can be demonstrated to the Kines.graduate committee.
