Who We're Looking For

Summary

We're looking for motivated students with some prior math/stats experience that are interested in developing further technical skills and the critical thinking skills necessary for the fields in applied statistics. A strong candidate has earned high grades in their prior calculus and statistics classes and is comfortable with computer software packages. All students are expected to have at least one semester of calculus (equivalent to our Math 133 or 137) and a traditional statistics course or upper-division business statistics class (STAT 276 or DS 303). Students with a GPA below a 3.25 are also required to have a second semester of calculus (Math 134 or 138).
